We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Finance Economist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, economic theory, and quantitative analysis techniques. This role is pivotal in providing insightful analysis and forecasting to inform strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of global and domestic economic trends, financial markets, and policy developments.
Develop and maintain econometric models for forecasting key economic and financial variables such as GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates.
Analyze the impact of macroeconomic events and policy changes on financial markets and the company’s business operations.
Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and briefings to communicate economic and financial insights to management and other stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze financial market data, including equity, fixed income, and currency markets, to identify investment opportunities and risks.
Collaborate with other departments, such as investment management, risk management, and corporate strategy, to provide economic and financial perspectives.
Contribute to the development of investment strategies and portfolio management decisions.
Stay abreast of the latest economic research and financial market developments.
Present research findings at internal meetings and external conferences.
Participate in the due diligence process for potential investments.
Develop and maintain databases of economic and financial data.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in economic forecasting and financial market analysis.
Strong understanding of macroeconomic theory, econometrics, and financial modeling.
Proficiency in statistical software packages such as Stata, R, or Python.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or other financial data platforms.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing financial markets.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the financial services industry.
Familiarity with machine learning techniques.
Experience with developing and maintaining large datasets.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress towards it.
